The code goes anywhere between the body /body tags in the Page Source.
When you set it up this way, you can see in Adsense Reports which pages are making you the most money from ad clicks… pages about poodles, pages about labradors, or pages with general dog information.
Does that make sense?
A channel is a way of naming an ad box (or set of ad boxes), so that you can track that specific ad box (or set of ad boxes).
So let’s say your web site is about dogs. One section of your web site is about poodles and another section of your web site is about labradors.
You might have three channels called
Dogs
Dogs-Poodles
Dogs-Labradors
You put the Dogs channel with ad boxes you place on general pages, Dogs-Poodles on pages about poodles, and Dogs-Labradors on pages about labradors.
I’m glad you found this helpful, and thanks for commenting! Any other videos you’d like to see me do?
Warmest,
Jonathan
Thank you, I really didn’t understand what a channel was before. I read many different blogs and articles, but your video made the most sense! Good job!

Simple, and very effective…affiliate marketing to 40 + networks with multiple accounts
NO MORE iMACROS bullchyt for me…THANK GOD!!
you completely glossed over the concept of what is a channel.
- you named a channel
- you checked the channel
- you showed stats
but what is a channel, how do i specify what i want to see in the channel, how do i setup channels to test different pages on the same website. I’m left completely clueless about these questions after watching this video.
Hi Jonathan thanks for your assistance. Yeap I am using FrontPage. Would you put this number after the “Body” in resource box?
thanks
Michael.
Yep. In the page source. You’re using Front Page, right?
You can format the box in a bunch of ways too… but play with it and you should be able to figure it out.
Enjoy!
Jonathan just one question please, where or any particular place do you place these numbers on the page. You mean the Page Source right?
kind regards
Michael.
Hello Jonathan yes you answered. You told me that you insert these numbers on to the page of the website. Now I know what to do with these numbers. Thank you very much. Have a great day and thanks for getting back to me.
Michael.
ookkk
You too.
A channel can track any page or any set of pages. If I have multiple web sites using the same Adsense account, I can track which clicks are coming from which web site(s) by setting up different channels. Google Adsense changes the code, I copy and paste the new code on the pages of the site, and then that site is tracked individually. I’m not sure I’m answering your question… not sure I understand the question… but hopefully that helps.

Thanks for the video but because I am new at this I would like to ask you, this!
When you created the channel, what and where do you place or what else do you do with it. I have noticed you have alot of them but I presume that the Adsense account is one and I can’t understand how you use the channel that you created, where would you put it or how….?
regards
Michael.
Sorry for the delayed reply. Yep. Channels are just used for tracking where you’ve placed your ads. Hope that’s helpful.
thank good
god bless
So channels are just names to identify the website i’ve place the set of ads in?
Can I write what?
Can you write ?
Great, I never knew this, thanks.
