Download firmware for your device ( 4.0 8a293) 2. download redsn0w for mac or pc ( link at the top of info) (on the page scroll all the way to the bottom) 3. extract firmware (if needed) must be .ipsw format 4. Extract redsnow to your desktop 5. open redsnow 6. Browse for firmware 7. select options ( enable multitasking enable native wallpaper install cydia verbose boot custom recovery logo and boot logo) Does enable wallpaper and multitasking on ipod touch 2g and iphone 3g 8. Turn off device 9. Follow the on screen instructions to put your device in DFU 9.
